Meet Successful MathTrack Educators
Every teacher has a story. Learn about those who chose MathTrack.

Jake Cole
A former business major, Jake brings a wealth of community involvement and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching. He stands out for being able to create a positive classroom culture where he is able to enforce discipline with an encouraging tone. He shares his purpose for teaching- "I got into teaching because I wanted the opportunity to make a difference in the youth of my community, because I wanted to tackle unique challenges every day, and because it gives me the flexibility in my schedule to do the things I love” (like hunting, fishing and coaching high school baseball).

Sydney Ferree
With a background in ministry, Sydney was eager to ignite a love of learning and confidence in young minds. She shared, “I love working with students. Students will oftentimes tie their self-perception to their academic ability, and sometimes get discouraged when they don’t understand things. I love to help students build their confidence through problem solving and realize that they can do so much more than what they think they are capable of". Sydney, similar to Jake, is also teaching at a school near the rural community where she grew up. Taking up her free time, she and her husband teach karate and recently turned a barn into their dream “barndominium”.
